Lucky Ball and Pain

Not much going on today; I've resolved to spend the day at home since we opted out of the job fair. It's not that I don't want an internship, but looking over the company list it's the same bunch who was there last time, and that didn't include a single game company at all. So much for the GSP-Only job fair which was planned for months ago, rescheduled and then never mentioned again. Hopefully it will materialize sometime or another.

Haven't heard back from Academics yet regarding the job, but I hope to soon. I would really like to know if I got it or not...and starting this coming Monday would be optimal. I looked over the finances, and things may be a bit tight with this transition from this house to the other one. Hopefully that will go well.

Speaking of, Fish is supposed to call tonight sometime so we can discuss what is going on with the housing situation. With any luck we'll reach a decision and get the paperwork started or else begin looking for another place. Either way would be alright I suppose, although I did quite like the house when we visited it two days ago. I like it a lot better seeing as we don't need to get lost on the way there ever again.

Rob says he'll be coming home tonight, and we'll be headed to Sakura's tomorrow to party with Scott before he leaves in a few weeks. He'll be headed to Kansas City I believe, says he got a sweet VB gig with a hospital. Which is good, I hope it works out for him. I'll miss the guy though...with any luck he won't forget that the internet exists.

I've been working on my site all afternoon, and with some visible progress. I would be getting more done if someone *coughTOMcough* wasn't over here for no reason playing guitar hero and distracting me occasionally enough to interrupt progress. Hopefully he'll shut up soon enough and I can get some hardcore work done.

Lastly, I watched the Futurama movie last night, and here's what I thought: The movie was good, funny, and the original wit of Futurama still shown through, however it lacked something I couldn't put my finger on. They spent at least the first five minutes making fun of the people who canceled the show, which I found hilarious, and then kept a running joke about it throughout the movie. The ending obviously set up a sequel, which I admit I'm looking forward to. Thanks to Fish for leaving it with me.
